Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood! is a platformer from Nippon Ichi Software that hit Japan in 2010 and arrived in North America the following year. The story kicks off with a tutorial where Prinny meets the Phantom Thief, a legendary netherworld thief who steals rare items—though Prinny doesn't recognize him yet. Players navigate dangerous levels and defeat a boss at the end of each stage, with 1000 lives to offset the difficulty. Three new moves are introduced, accessed by entering Break Mode when the Combo Gauge is filled by collecting sweets. Break Mode boosts attack power until the gauge empties. The Husky Hip Pound is an upgraded Hip Pound that also damages enemies. The Prinny Cyclone is an enhanced spinning dodge that, by enlarging the red scarf, deals damage. The Prinnikaze is a spinning air tackle that rockets into the ground.
Three difficulty levels are available. Normal mode keeps the original gameplay, with the Prinny taking three hits before dying. Baby Mode replaces scarf icons with diapers, and damaging areas are covered by destructible blocks. Hell Mode gives no scarves, so the Prinny dies in one hit, making later stages tough.
In Asagi Wars, players control Prinny Asagi. Instead of a hit count, her health is a Ratings Gauge at the top of the screen. Flashy moves and following the audience fill it; taking damage drops it.
